Phongsakorn  Lamlong

My name is Pongsakorn Lamlong. I’m a junior Trombone student at Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music from Thailand. I was born in the countryside before coming to the capital city. So I could learn some traditional music from my hometown. I began my music when I was in high school, but I couldn’t approach the real music from any teacher because I lived very far from the capital city. and there was no real music teacher in my school. So I tried to learn music by myself from the internet and many sources I could approach in my hometown. Therefore I would like to learn as much as possible to be a teacher in my country home or in Thailand to develop the future of the music industry in Thailand. I have been in the capital city for 3 years. I learn a lot of intensive and systematic curriculum, but I don’t have a strong base and fundamentals, so I need to work harder than my colleague. I had a few opportunities to participate with Thai Youth Wind, Sangeeta Philharmonic Winds Band, and Offstage Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music. My college provides me with a lot of opportunities to workshop or create Jazz music, Classical music, Thai music, Contemporary Music, Soundscape, and also work with Foley Artist and film scores in silent films. I want to learn varieties style of music and I will always be ready to learn something new.
